Benefits of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

Working with an experienced and proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner provides confidence that your needs will be understood and supported with the right level of skill and expertise.

Using a holistic and evidence-based framework, we work to fully understand you or your child’s needs, identify challenging behaviours, and develop practical support strategies that are effective and sustainable.

Through a strengths-based approach, we focus on building on existing abilities while developing new skills and capabilities. The goal is to build a stronger “toolkit” of coping strategies that support long-term positive outcomes and improved quality of life.

  • Collaboration with your allied health team

  • School, community, and/or home visits

  • Flexible support options including in-person or telehealth sessions

School- Based Supports

When working within the school environment, sessions are typically delivered on a one-to-one basis and tailored to meet your child’s individual needs. Support is usually provided on an ongoing basis throughout the school term to help your child build skills, manage challenges, and succeed in their learning environment.

Community- Based Support

We can meet you and your child in the community, such as at a park, a public place, or during an activity group. Observing and supporting your child in different environments helps us gain a clearer understanding of potential triggers, setting events, and the situations that may influence behaviour.

This approach allows us to develop practical and effective strategies that work in real-life settings, supporting your child and you to build skills and confidence across different environments.

Home - Based Supports

We also value the opportunity to see you and your child within the home environment. With your consent, we can observe and provide ongoing sessions in your home with you and/or your child to better understand daily routines, strengths, and challenges.

Working within the home allows us to provide practical support and strategies that fit naturally into everyday life, helping to build skills, confidence, and positive outcomes for your child and family.

Beyond the ordinary

This is where our journey begins. Get in touch today so we can help determine the supports that best suit your needs and how they can be delivered.

The options outlined above—school-based, community-based, and home-based support—can be tailored to your individual preferences. We can provide one, two, or all three types of support depending on what works best for you and your child.
